Meet the Team

Matt Frogley

Principle Podiatrist | B.AppSc Podiatry M.A.Pod.A

Matt graduated from Western Sydney university in 2006. After 3 years working in both the private sector and the hospital system in Sydney, he started a clinic on the Central coast, NSW. He ran this for 5 years before deciding to move back to the place where he was raised to start a new venture.

Matt wanted to create a clinic that showcased all of his podiatric skills that he gained from down south which would cover all aspects of Podiatry, from paediatrics (children) all the way through to geriatrics (the elderly). He also has a love of fashion and shoes, which has allowed him to develop quite a range of footwear at Coastal Podiatry Group. He wanted to stock a range that were both fashionable and functional.

Matt has a keen interest in a wide range of sports such as tennis, golf and cricket. He has involved himself in the community and has given sponsorships to a few local days and local sporting teams. His keen interest in sport has allowed his knowledge and treatment of sports injuries to develop a thorough biomechanical assessment setup in the clinic. Whether a recent acute injury or a long term chronic problem, Matt prides himself on his thorough analysis and assessment before deciding on his management approach.

His ongoing education and further studies have also seen him develop further specialty techniques in administering local anaesthetics and treating conditions such as plantar warts via minimal excision surgery.

Jim Walker

Senior Podiatrist | B.H.Sc (Hons) Podiatry M.A.Pod.A

Jim graduated with honours from QUT, Brisbane in 2011. After five years working in private practice on the Gold Coast, he joined our team at Coastal Podiatry Group in 2017.

His experience over the years has seen him develop a broad range of skills in diagnosing and treating all aspects of the foot and lower limb. Areas of interest and experience include; foot, ankle, leg and knee pain, sports related injuries, children’s feet, ingrown toenails and diabetic foot assessments.

His sporting background has enabled him to understand the importance of injury prevention and pain-free exercise. This passion has driven Jim’s interest in the field of biomechanics and sports medicine, which involves extensive examination of the foot and lower limb. It is his goal to see patients returning to the activities they love as soon as possible, as keeping the body moving is vital for overall physical and mental health.

Ongoing education and training has kept Jim up to date with the latest research and journals, as well as learning dry needling and in-depth paediatrics and ankle examinations.
